Utah gated communities are in good supply, particularly in Salt Lake County.  In Salt Lake, 110 gated communities have had either a home or condo for sale during the past 12 months. There are 45 single family styled luxury gated communities and a dozen luxury condo gated communities in Salt Lake County. Currently there are five new  condo gated communities under construction in the county with some properties already listed for sale on the market. The new condo development at Gates at Kingspointe has the most to select from at this time.

You do not have to go the luxury route to find a gated community to live-in. Forty-six of the gated communities in Salt Lake County have gated community properties priced below $300,000. Of those forty-six gated communities, thirty-three have properties built since 2000, so you do not have to shop for an old property to get a good price for a gated community home.

The median price for a home or condo in a gated community within the seven counties listed above is $349,900. The average price is $647,680.
