Utah's New
Governor Extends Home Run Grant
September 19, 2009
Governor Gary Herbert
announced that the reinstated Home Run Grant
program will provide
$4,000 grants to approximately 1,950 buyers. As of
September 19, 2009 the grants remaining are 1,714.
The grants will be awarded on a first-come,
first-served basis to home buyers who apply for the
funds through their Utah Housing
Corporation-approved lender by November 30.
Home Run Two allows
buyers to receive grants for homes that will be
constructed, are currently under construction or are
move-in-ready but have never been occupied.
Buyers can apply for
the funds through a Utah Housing
Corporation-approved lender. A list of approved
lenders, including telephone numbers is provided
below. Once the application is complete, Utah
Housing will issue a grant commitment.
To get started, first
select a lender from the list,
second
ask the lender to provide you with a
pre-qualification letter,
third
complete the grant request and loan request with the
lender you select, next
search for properties that meet
you criteria and then
give us a call to schedule some of these properties

Although the Home Run
program is not limited to first-time home buyers,
there are income restrictions. For singles, incomes
cannot exceed $75,000, and married couples cannot
have incomes greater than $150,000. Ask the lender
for a pre-qualification letter and give us a call
